3 Reasons Why I Use Alexa
Recently I have been using Alexa to evaluate various blogs I have visited and love the information it shows at a glance. Below are the 3 reasons why I use Alexa:
- Installing the toolbar (named “Sparky” for Firefox) allows you to receive site data at a glance
- Can display related links to the site you are visiting
- Gives you a unique combined stat (Alexa Rank) comprised of reach and pageviews
“Sparky” as it is called, is a great tool bar which will display the Alexa Rank next to search results in Google, Ask and Yahoo.
Related links will show with the click of a button.
Alexa Rank is based on reach which is a stat based on the number of unique site visitors along with the number of pageviews over a 3 month period. This gives you an idea of the site’s popularity at a quick glance.
Alexa also has some great features on their site. I find this site very useful and I am always looking at the stats on my search result pages. Try it out and let me know what you think.
